Training and Events
Advocating in our world is what we do. Before we can organize in our community, we must become organized ourselves. The members of CFILC collaborate together to help put on a number of trainings and events throughout the year. Our trainings are informative and empowering, and our events can be fun and make a direct impact to those around us.

The SGIP is a relatively new program that provides advanced energy storage that can be helpful during a Public Power Safety Shut-off. The Investor Owned Utilities (IOUs), PG&E, SCE, SoCalGas and SDG&E are all required to implement SGIP in their territories.
The CA Disaster Strategies Coalition recently discussed SGIP from a consumer advocate perspective. Here's a recording from that meeting that you may find helpful, Self Generation Incentive Program topic call.
Independent Living Centers who are a part of CFILC's PSPS pilot program are encouraged to attend. Organizations and individuals who are interested in learning more about how SGIP is being implemented across the state should also attend.
Captioning will be provided. Registration closes 30 minutes prior to start.
