Salary Range: $40,500 - $45,000
ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
The AT Network is a project that promotes the use of assistive technology throughout the state of California. Assistive Technology (AT) devices help people with disabilities perform activities of daily living that may otherwise be difficult or impossible to perform. Examples of AT include: ramps, canes, reaching tools, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, screen reading software and modified vehicles.
OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION:
Under the direction of the AT Network Program Manager, the Marketing & Communications Specialist will manage and update the AT Network website, maintain listservs and provide technical support for all online training programs and web-based initiatives.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Update AT Network website within established deadlines;
- Develop and track online evaluation systems to determine website effectiveness and outcomes;
- Develop AT Network marketing materials;
- Assist in the development of accessible videos;
- Manage AT Network listservs and blog;
- Provide technical assistance for the AT Services Directory;
- Provide technical assistance for online training programs;
- Provide written reports and documents as needed;
- Coordinate with contractors as needed;
- Other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and two years of related experience OR four years experience maintaining websites and updating databases;
- Experience with a variety of software applications in the PC environment, including but not limited to: MS Office, HTML and Java Script;
- Must be able to prioritize competing demands, projects and/or assignments;
- Excellent writing skills and extreme attention to detail;
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines;
- Ability to arrange necessary transportation must be maintained throughout employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience developing accessible websites;
- Experience developing online databases;
- Experience working with people with disabilities;
- Bilingual English/Spanish;
- Knowledge of concepts and philosophy of independent living and consumer empowerment.
