One of the most important components of the Federal health care reform’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) was the creation of the Community Living Assistance Services and Supports (CLASS) Program; a voluntary, Federally-administered and consumer financed long-term care insurance program.
The disability community is at risk of losing an important long-term care insurance program. It’s not too late to urge the President and Congress to consider ways in which the CLASS Program can be successfully implemented to serve disabled Americans while also sustaining fiscal viability.
